CM opens school in Kandaghat…
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur inaugurated Delhi World Public School on Chail Road near Kandaghat on Sunday. The state government had signed an MoU with the school management worth Rs250 crore a year ago. Thakur said this institution would provide education facilities to about 6,000 students in the coming time and also provide direct employment and indirect employment to many besides boosting economic activities in the area. He said the school management has decided to provide 15 per cent concession on fee to the students of Kandaghat tehsil and said the state had emerged as a role model of development not only in the field of education but also in several other fields. He said the state government was endeavouring to make private players partners in the development and progress of the state and for this, a Global Investors’ Meet was organised last year in Dharamsala. He said the representatives of as many as 36 countries participated in the mega event, which was graced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and MoUs worth Rs96,000 crore were signed with the ground-breaking ceremony of projects worth Rs13,500 crore having been performed within a month.
Chairman and founder Delhi World Public School Balwan Shokeen welcomed the dignitaries on the occasion. Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj was also present. Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr Rajiv Saizal; Member of Parliament Suresh Kashyap; MLA DR Shandil; Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Sanjay Kundu; Principal of the School Reena Panta were others present on the occasion among others.
