Ramjas Basketball Champions League: Thrilling Action Unveiled

Teams are gearing up for an intense battle on the basketball court as they embrace the spirit of sports, offering participants a unique opportunity for creativity and a test of their mental, physical, and emotional capabilities like no other aspect of life can.

Under the esteemed leadership and guidance of the late Shri Rai Kedarnath Ji, Ramjas Foundation has established an exemplary reputation in the field of education. Following in the founder’s footsteps, Ramjas International School RK Puram New Delhi has been dedicated to providing quality education and promoting sports as a means to foster a healthier and more vibrant community.

Since its inception in 1984, the Ramjas Basketball Champions League has seen a steady increase in the number of participating schools. It has now grown to become the largest tournament of its kind at the school level in India. The 27^th edition of this league is committed to nurturing young basketball talent and has gained recognition from esteemed organizations. While in previous years, teams primarily hailed from Delhi-NCR and nearby states, this Golden Jubilee Year of the School has attracted teams from across borders. Over 60 schools and 150 teams from various zones in Delhi, NCR, and its nearby states have participated. Even Nepal will fiercely compete for the championship trophy.

The much-anticipated opening ceremony began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and shloka recital, symbolizing the illumination of the path to success for the competing teams. Dignitaries, including Mr. Alok Aggarwal, M.D. and CEO of Brookfield Properties, India, Mr. Mike Tibbits of Droitwich Spa High School, U.K., prominent sports personalities, officials from DBA, and league organizers, graced the occasion, emphasizing the significance of this championship for the community.

The spotlight then shifted to the RBCL flag hoisting ceremony by the guests. The choir group’s mesmerizing performance of the Ramjas Song left the audience spellbound.

The chief guest, Mr. Alok Aggarwal, emphasized the importance of participation in sports over focusing solely on the results. Mr. Mike stressed how sports can bring people together. Mrs. Rachna Pant, Director of Ramjas International School, highlighted the importance of balancing sports and academics for holistic development. Ms. Richa Sharma, Principal of Ramjas International School, expressed gratitude to the esteemed guests, officials, and participating teams, wishing good luck to all participants.
