The Heritage School places a high focus on athletics so that students can improve their Physical Health, Mental Health and Personal Skills
Every year on May 7, World Athletics Day is honored in order to raise awareness among youth and children about the value of sports and fitness.
The day is marked by bright smiles and high activity levels. Habits are formed early in life, and research shows that physically active children are more likely to become physically active adults. Athletics are essential for instilling a sense of lifelong wellbeing, developing leadership development, and teaching the value of responsibility and commitment. Athletic engagement allows children to grow, learn, and have fun while exercising and developing their personal, physical, and mental abilities. Sportsmanship teaches not only respect for one’s opponents, but also how to accept defeat gracefully. We hope to develop habits in our kids through these lessons that will lead to happier and healthier lives.
