73rd Independence Day Celebrations At The Mann School…

15 august – 73rd Independence day of our country which is celebrated by whole nation proudly with joy and happiness after all it’s a days of unity. Various schools held various types of cultural programmes on this day. I visited such a cultural program at The Mann School which is great filled with enthusiasm and patriotism. Its like whole school is celebrating this with joy and they are above all social diseases like castism etc. Day started with flag hosting by respected principal of school followed by different speeches by students on various essential topics of country which are likely to be discussed like gender equality, increasing crimes in city. After the speeches its time for dance, students of 6th class came up with a dance performance on a patriotic song which changed the whole atmosphere of school. the auditorium is filled with great energy and one can easily smell the fragrance of patriotism in air. Then students of class 11th and 12th performed a play on increasing rapes in our country which brings tears to almost every student present in that auditorium. After that principal gave students speech about equality benefits of unity and wish them luck for their future. Another student-teacher enlightened the audience on the contribution of unsung heroes of the Indian freedom struggle like Tirupur Kumaran, Kamla Devi Chattopadhayay and Khudiram Bose. A few of them spoke on the history and significance of the Independence Day and shed light on the special highlights of celebrations this year. A group of student-teachers shared inspirational quotes on Freedom and expressed their views on ‘What does Freedom Mean to Me?’ The celebrations concluded with inspiring words of commander V.K Banga ,principal,School of Education, followed by the National Anthem and then distribution of sweet.
