Around 14,000 Dropouts Re-join Schools In Jammu And Kashmir: Officials
JAMMU: In Jammu and Kashmir’s recently completed fourth phase of the Back-to-Village (B2V) initiative, around 14,000 dropouts returned to their schools, according to officials. The information was presented at a meeting presided over by chief secretary Arun Kumar Mehta, who was there to assess the program’s success between October 27 and November 3. The largest success of the initiative, according to an official, was the readmission of 13,977 school dropouts into classrooms with the assurance of a decent education.
According to the officials, the programme has been successful in giving 21,329 people options for self-employment. They added that 277 cooperative societies overall had been registered in industries like poultry, housing, transportation, and health.
They claimed that during the “Jan Abhiyan,” 14,567 soil health cards and 5,914 Kisan Credit Cards were issued in the agricultural sector. They claimed that 4,063 e-Shram cards were generated along with the enrollment of 24,179 labourers, including migratory employees. According to the administration, the Union Territory had 88% of the plan finished so far.
According to the health sector, 95,959 PM JAY-SEHAT issued golden cards to 49,526 families, or 93% of the objective in his sector, allowing them access to health insurance. According to the officials, the revenue department was successful in issuing 6.6 lakh land passbooks during the programme.
The “Apki Zamin Apki Nigrani” service, which enables users to examine revenue records from the comfort of their homes, was introduced to 8.46 lakh people during B2V4, according to the officials. In addition, 23 musical talent showcases from all around J&K were held on YouTube during the event, according to the officials, to encourage interaction with the kids.
They added that fifteen role models have been found to encourage young people using a modern digital format. They added that the social welfare department also organised 211 “divyang” Camps and that it had digitalized 5,159 Disability Cards (UDID), seeded 30,231 Anganwadi beneficiaries with Aadhaar, and served 11,313 “Ladli Beti” beneficiaries.
The mining department also issued more than 1.55 lakh e-challans with a QR code payment mechanism for the sale and purchase of minerals, according to the officials. In order to monitor changes in the community and serve as Panchayat Prabhari for the region for the ensuing year, the chief secretary instructed officers to visit their panchayat at least once every three months.
Mehta requested the creation of an online invoicing system, an e-Contractor registration system, and the promotion of digital payment methods throughout all works divisions.
