Celebrating World Nature Conservation Day: A Day of Environmental Inspiration.

On July 28th, CES’s Dr. Cyrus S Poonawalla English Medium High School & Junior College (CBSE),Rasta Peth, Pune-11 ECO-Club organized Interschool quiz competition Quizzard 1.0 to celebrate World Nature Conservation Day on the theme Biodiversity, Nature Conservation & Threats to Environment with great enthusiasm and dedication. The event, hosted at our school was filled with engaging activities and meaningful events, all aimed at raising awareness about the pressing need to conserve and protect our natural environment. Let us take a closer look at the inspiring activities that unfolded throughout the day.

The event was graced by the presence of our Chief Guest & Judge, Dr. Kajal Chhatija, Director, United International School & Founder Edudrone We Connect. Her interaction with the students reinforced the message that everyone can make a difference, no matter what their age or background may be.

The day commenced with students delivering impactful opening speeches on the significance of nature conservation. The young speakers eloquently expressed their passion for the environment, sharing valuable insights into the challenges our planet faces and the role each of us can play in creating positive change. Their words set the tone for an inspiring and enlightening day ahead.

The celebration consisted of mesmerizing dance performance that conveyed the message of environmental awareness. Students from various grades participated in this beautiful display of art and creativity, using their movements to depict the beauty of nature and the urgency to protect it. The performance left the audience captivated and emotionally moved, reinforcing the power of artistic expression in spreading awareness.

The Quiz segment conducted by Quiz Master Mr. Shubham Pandey was the highlight of the event, brought together students from several other esteemed schools maintaining high standards throughout the quiz. School from all over Pune participated and showcased their knowledge and understanding of environmental science and general awareness. After a tough competition, Balaji English Medium School emerged as the victorious team, winning the quiz with their commendable knowledge.

Quizzard 1.0 was a resounding success, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of all participants. The inspiring words of our Principal Mrs. Kajal S Somai added a personal touch of inspiration to the event & praised the efforts of all the principals & teachers of participating schools. The various activities and events provided a valuable learning experiences, fostering a deeper understanding of the importance of nature conservation.
