New Delhi : D.A.V R.K Puram organised its Virtual Model United Nations
Model United Nations is an academic simulation of the United Nations, which aims to educate participants about diplomacy critical social skills, and public speaking. D.A.V Public School, R.K Puram organized its first virtual model United Nations on the Topic of- Kaleidoscope of Indian culture on 19th December virtually on Google meet which was also live-streamed on YouTube. The opening ceremony took place with an engaging speech from the conference’s guest of honour Ms. Nina Jain Secretary-General of United Nations School Organization. She congratulated our school for organizing its first virtual MUN session and appreciated the efforts of our school Principal Ms. Sanjana Bakshi Datta for giving such exposure to students to exhibit their delegation skills. The Principal Ms.Sanjana Bakshi Datta also appreciated the efforts of the students for showing excellent skills. Students covered different states of India and discussed its culture, location, climate, cuisine, and popular places of each state. During the conference, the student played the roles of delegates of different states of India. E – Certificate of Appreciation were given to all the Delegates .Students learnt a lot from this first MUN experience which served as a stepping stone for participation in many other MUNs to come.
