Earth Day was celebrated by the students of Apeejay School, Primary Wing, Faridabad, to support environmental protection. The aim was to spread awareness among the students and to sensitise them to make that extra effort to help the environment.

The students celebrated Earth Day in their unique way and participated enthusiastically in various activities throughout the week.

A poster-making activity saw the students at their creative best. The students went for a nature walk to observe their surroundings and took up a plantation drive.

Talk on Earth Day was followed by innovative ideas to create best out of waste which was appreciated by all. Making newspaper bags to carry things followed by active participation in the Carbon Foot-print Activity, Quiztime and a class discussion in Hindi on saving water witnessed enthusiastic participation. Book mark making and poster making competitions helped display their talent under the theme – ‘Renewable sources of energy.’ ‘Kavya and Niband Lekhan’ on Prithvi Divas brought out their hidden talents and honed their literary skills. Discussion on the 3-R’s and cultivating a Medicinal Garden in school gave them hands-on experience and knowledge that Earth is the only planet we have and we must take care of it.
