NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is thinking about making changes for the exam next year after receiving numerous complaints about issues with the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), the first-ever all-India exam for admissions to undergraduate and graduate programmes in 45 Central universities. Among the remedies being considered are a reduction in the number of subject combinations offered and a review of the cities where the tests are administered.

The Indian Express interviewed NTA Chief Vineet Joshi about a number of topics, including the controversy surrounding the delay in notifying exam centres, technological issues with the exam, lessons learned from the administration of CUET, and the viability of combining all national entrance exams.
