New Delhi : Apex Public School on 29th July 2020 celebrated its 36th Foundation Anniversary commemorating its 35 glorious years of accomplishments – a journey from the Genesis to Zenith, on the virtual platform. The virtual programme was necessitated by the ensuing Global Pandemic and was viewed by hundreds of enthused students on the YouTube live streaming.

The Apex Public School was founded on 29th July 1985 by Late Mr. A. M. Jonathan, our revered stalwart Founder Principal. Under his aegis the ideal –“Answer Duty’s Call” the school has successfully imparted quality education and prides itself on its bright students whose innate talents have been nurtured to abloom. It is a journey of enthusiasm and steady effort indeed, which has brought Apex Public School to this high pedestal and empowered it to serve the nation by imparting education by quality and innovative educational methods and partaking in the development of a healthy nation.

Mrs. Jeanne Jonathan Ma’am, co- founder of Apex public School took pleasure to welcome Apexians (students) and teachers, past and present and parents to the innovative and novel live celebrations of the 36th Foundation Anniversary. In her message to the Apexian Family and parents she reiterated the founding and guiding principle – “Answer Duty’s Call”.

The School Principal, Mr. Derek Richard Brendish addressed live the students and the staff, recapitulating the glorious achievements of the school. He said that “the school has never digressed from its vision and mission to serve the nation through education. The learning has never stopped here, even during lockdown, as our students and teachers meet on virtual classrooms regularly”. He enumerated the achievements of the school in various fields.

The Vice Principal (Academic ), Mr. Natrajan, wished the teachers and students on the completion of 35 years of successful journey and complemented the collaborative effort of everyone by which the School has reached a pinnacle of its existence. He promised to impart quality education and assured that in the light of founder Principlal’s ideals, the school shall always strive to reach higher pedestals with success.

The lockdown has not dampened the spirit of celebration nor has it fettered the pomp and glorious display in celebrations. The day was marked by an innovative online plethora of Inter House Talent Competitions.

The Annual Inter House singing competition – ‘Voice of Apex’ ,
Inter House Fancy Dress Competition –‘We the People – Nur’,
the Inter House colouring and sketching Competition (K.G),
the Inter House Poster making Competition – ‘Self Reliant India’,
the Fashion Show – ‘Our Corona Warriors’ and Dance competition – ‘Dignity in Unity’ was successfully conducted online by enthusiastic participation of students from all the four houses. The winners of various online competitions were announced during the programme.

The Chairman of the School, Mr. Geoff Lyonel Jonathan, appreciated the tenacious efforts of all the students, teachers and parents in making the first ever virtual Foundation Day Celebrations memorable and eventful.

Foundation Day Anniversary is an exciting day for our school to reminiscence upon the growth and achievements of the school over the last 35 years and wish for School’s bright and glorious future.
