Policemen encouraged students coming to the exams in violence affected areas by giving them flowers

Following the violence in the north-eastern district of the capital Delhi, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted examinations in the violence-hit areas on Monday as per the schedule. On Monday, 12th was the Physics (Physics) and Applied Physics paper. There was a music paper in the 10th.

Policemen cheered the students who came for the examination at the government school in Khajuri. CBSE Secretary Anurag Tripathi said that the examinations were going on peacefully and smoothly.
Even after the violence, attendance of 98.2 per cent of students in the 10th and 12th examination was recorded at all the examination centres in north-east Delhi. He issued a circular saying that out of 2888 registered candidates in the North-East Delhi district, 2837 candidates had appeared for the examination. At the same time, only 51 students remain absent in the examination.
The board has given its credit to the parents of the examinees, students, Delhi Police and Delhi Education Directorate. The board said that with the help of all these, examinations have been held on Monday. It is noteworthy that CBSE had filed an affidavit in the Delhi High Court regarding the examination. After which the court directed the Delhi Police and the Government of Delhi to provide all assistance to ensure the safety of the students and to conduct the examination in the violence-prone areas of North-East Delhi.
