Tamil Nadu Schools, Colleges To Remain Closed Today In These Districts Due To Heavy Rains
In a few districts of Tamil Nadu, schools and colleges will be closed on Tuesday, November 1 due to heavy rain. According to news agency ANI, schools would be closed in the districts of Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, and Mayiladuthurai. In the taluks of Cheyyar, Vandavasi, Chetpet, and Vembakkam in Tiruvannamalai, schools and colleges were closed.
The state is expected to see heavy rain over the next few days, as well as sporadic thunderstorms over Chennai, Chengalpattu, Tiruvannamalai, and other districts, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). In several areas of Karaikal and Puducherry, rain is anticipated.
