Teacher Detained For Sexually Assaulting Class 3 Girl In Delhi School: Cops
NEW DELHI: According to authorities, a 40-year-old teacher at a government school in east Delhi has been apprehended for allegedly sexually assaulting a Class 3 student, age 8, within the school.
An official stated that the sports teacher, who has been employed by the school in the New Ashok Nagar neighbourhood of east Delhi since 2016, is currently being questioned.
Last week, the alleged event occurred when the man allegedly persuaded the youngster and took her to a private area inside the school where he sexually attacked her.
Her mother became concerned about her child’s behaviour, which led to the discovery of the issue. When her mother inquired about what had occurred, the eight-year-old described what had occurred. On Wednesday, the parents contacted the police.
According to Amrutha Guguloth, deputy commissioner of police for the east, a team was dispatched to the scene after they received a call regarding the event, which occurred roughly four or five days ago.
The teen has received counselling and a physical examination.
According to Guguloth, the accused instructor has been charged with violating the Indian Penal Code’s Sections 376 (rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) as well as other pertinent provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act.
