Campaign To Benefit Underprivileged School Girls With Eyesight Issues In Delhi

NEW DELHI: According to the campaign’s organisers, an NGO that has been fighting to stop preventable blindness throughout India is supporting disadvantaged schoolgirls in the city who have vision problems. Children are having their vision checked, and those who have refractive issues are given free corrective lenses. According to them, patients with other eye disorders are referred to the hospital for additional care. India Vision Institute is in charge of the initiative (IVI).

“Thanks to this programme to honour World Sight Day (WSD) month, I’m thrilled that some disadvantaged girls in Delhi will now be able to see better and finish their education. The world observes WSD on October 13 “said Vinod Daniel, CEO of IVI.

Schoolgirls who were found to have uncorrected refractive problems were given free eyeglasses at a recent campaign event in Trilokpuri, close to Mayur Vihar, the NGO claimed.
